There is somebody on here that is very helpful with things like this....@pigletjohn. I don't know if that mention will work, but that's definitely the username. My old boiler used to leak when I'd opened the valves to get more pressure....do u have any kind of fault code showing?

where is it leaking from?

Leaking droplets from the black valve on the bottom , last serviced 6 months ago, boiler is about 10 years old. No warning code, and has been working fine, good reliable boiler

I can't see the leak.

catch it in a glass

does it have a colour or smell?

does it taste acidic?

girlofthenorth · 18/07/2021 13:45

Have actually messaged the plumber you who serviced it but I guess everyone is out enjoying the sun today ! Be good to know if safe to use for hot water etc ...at least it's not freezing outside !

sorry I can't make out what the black valve is. Someone who knows this boiler may recognise it.

Do you know if it is the filling valve?

girlofthenorth · 18/07/2021 13:46

Yes it's just droplets , started last night , not a steady trickle, doesn't smell, looks clear

If its just a small leak it will be fine to use just keep eye on pressure and make sure it doesn't drop below 0

RoseDog · 18/07/2021 13:56

I had this a few weeks ago on my Worcester boiler, my invoice says "supplied and fitted new Worcester flow adaptor and tested" it cost £108 and took maybe half an hour to sort.

Mines started leaking on a Friday and it was a Wednesday before I could get anyone to look at it and it was fine I just kept a bucket under it.

I just tried switching it back on and no hot water anyway so cold showers it is ! Thanks for all your replies .
