Waiting for a bacon wrapped turkey joint & dauphinois potatoes to cook. Just need to sort the veg ( frozen cauliflower & broccoli). Had a very hot quite stressful shift at work so glad to be chilling at home. Bit peed off with a couple of my colleagues but will talk to them when I’m next in to get it sorted. I may do what I did last night which was to stand on the back doorstep naked & look up at the stars! It felt amazing & the night sky was stunning. Meteor showers were supposed to start & last until mid August so I will keep looking as I didn’t see any shooting stars last night. May watch a film later with DH( DD doesn’t concentrate very well plus it’s her bedtime around 9.30 anyway). Or May watch Casualty & Love Island Unseen Bits.

We w for home at 9ish and child 1 is still crashing about I can hear him but he's almost 18, child 2 hopefully has gone to sleep the hot dogs are all tucked up, my DH has crashed out very very drunk on the sofa..

I'm sat with my feet out of my window lovely breeze deciding when her to have a glass of wine or a cup of tea.

Just watched two films now got music playing on iPhone,dh listening to radio he’s enjoyed sport today so I’ve had a chill out day, so a nice relaxing day. Best all week.

DH is tidying the kitchen. We take turns and it's his night tonight. I found a marble under the couch, which is weird because we have no DC. It turned out to be something a kid gave to DH about a year ago and it's been in his bag since then.

I finally got round to replacing the string and eyelets on the roman blinds so they'd run smoothly, so I opened and closed them a few times for DH while saying "oiled cotton balls" (

Back from a wonderful evening with some girlfriends. The friend who hosted lives in a beautiful place - cliffs, sea, views, fantastic walks, stunning sunsets. I'm in the county town which I love but it's a treat to go out in the wilds. Now I'm making a cup of green tea before bed and an audiobook.

I'm isolating and home alone. Ordered pizza, watched the hangover and had a load of ice lollies in front of the fan. Currently in bed with a fan and a sheet feeling my baby kick, it only started happening a few days ago and it's so lovely! Don't know how I'm going to sleep though!

Husband and 2 youngest kids are asleep.
Oldest is texting me from his bed saying he's too hot and bored.
I'm babysitting my new embroidery machine while it sews a new pattern. If I move too far away it knows and the thread breaks or something equally annoying, so here I sit on an uncomfy chair.

My partner has had a message on his group chat a colleague is very unwell his wife posted on their wattsapp his oxygen level were very low so she called an ambulance and by the time they got to him he was burning up (suspicion of COVID although double jabbed) so just waiting for an update hoping he is ok but dreading the prospect of DP having to isolate this week

Right now my two daughters are in the basement chatting and playing video games together.

My son is playing video games and chatting online with friends in his room upstairs.

DH is probably watching TikTok somewhere.

The dog is snoring next to me.

I’ve just watched some of The Morning Show and am about to read some more of my book.

It feels like big changes are about to happen in our lives - everyone going off to university, new schools etc. so it’s nice to have some peaceful time with everyone at home.

Went to bed at 11 for an early night to catch up on some sleep.
DH woke me at 1.15 coming to bed, as he’d fallen asleep in the arm chair.
20 minutes later he was up getting a quilt to sleep downstairs as DS, who has ASD was making noises in his room.
3.30 DS was shouting for me, he’d wet the bed, so I got up to strip the bed and put the washing on.
DS is still giggling and making noises, so much for my sleep catch up 🙄

It's 5.30 everyone's asleep 😂

I’m lying in DD1s bed wide awake.

Haven’t been sleeping well since my darling mum passed away 4 weeks ago. Was in bed almost asleep at 1.30am when DD came in and said she wanted me. I climbed in to her bed with her, she’s been sound asleep ever since, but I’ve been wide awake!

We go away today for a few days and I’m going to be so tired this evening.

I’ve been trying hard not to do this and go try and sleep earlier, so this is a massive fail!!

The room is now light, the birds are chirping and everyone else in the house is sleeping 😴

Wooops, not sure what happened there.

I'm not running anywhere, I'm drinking coffee and eating toast and peanut butter.
DH is wandering round moaning about his sinuses and throat (hayfever).

DS1 (5) is writing a shopping list - examples "chocolit" "candee". He has now written "apols 10" because I told him to include some actual food 😆

DS2 (18m) is running about pressing any toy with buttons and occasionally trying to hide in the cupboard.

Well after about 1 hour of sleep in this unbearable heat I got up at 7:30. Stripped the bed which is now in the washer. Fed and watered ddog. Made a cup of tea and just sat here drinking it in my conservatory looking out on my garden and cooling off (although it's 21 degrees and only 8:20am)

I woke at 4am, way too early.

Serves me right for having an early night last night! 😳

It's already so warm here that we've all been up since 6, but lazing about. DS playing games in his room, DD on her phone in bed, DH chatting to friends on the phone and I'm about to make bacon bagels and set up paddling pool.

We are off on holiday today so I have two very excited children, they woke early but I don’t mind as it means we can set off earlier and enjoy the first day! I’ve put all the suitcases in the hall just waiting for DH to load the car and then I can Hoover through so we come back to a clean house.

It's lovely and peaceful here. The kids are away for the weekend with their uncle and cousins, and DH is asleep - no chance of seeing before 10 at least. There's no sound but the birds.

I'm making mint jelly so the apples are straining through muslin at the moment. In a while I'll add the sugar and mint and start boiling it, to get the hot bit over before the weather really hits.

I have to give everything in the garden a good watering over the next couple of days, because once we get the kids back we're away to a holiday rental with my folks till next weekend.

Isolating so another day wandering around house and garden. Ironing and a chicken dinner to see to then some wine. DD 1&2 and DH are free now so I’ll give them some shopping tasks (don’t miss that)

Lying on my bed in my birthday suit drinking a nice cup of tea which DD bought me up. 15 weeks pregnant today. DS is watching YouTube loudly in his bedroom across the hall and my youngest (who slept with me last night because I stupidly thought my room would be cooler for her) is playing with Lego on the floor next to my bed and singing Kate Bush's Cloudbusting to herself.
DP just sent me a gorgeous photo from work of the view from above the clouds in his cockpit.
I'll get up soon and take the dog out if it isn't already too warm.

I'm enjoying my beautiful garden, it's all jungle like and tropical now after two years of hard work. One adult child here and sleeping upstairs with the dog. I have a whole day ahead of nothing but may moan the lawn. Nowhere I have to be and not arranged any lunches or coffees. I feel...FREE!

Not a lot I'm on my own and doing as little as possible

It's almost 6pm Sunday evening.

DH is cooking dinner - chicken something and veges.
DD20 just got home from work and is in the shower.
DD18 is watching telly in her room.
I am sitting here watching YT and surfing the net.
