Do any rescue centers rehome dogs if you have young children?

I'm not ready yet as I only lost my beloved dog a few weeks ago but I've started looking and see every ad at the rspca doesn't rehome dogs if you have small children.
I understand if they aren't sure about their background to be safe etc but where else could I look? My dog was a rescue and she was the most gentlest and amazing dog I've ever met so I know there must be others out there too.
I'd like to rescue rather than buy off a breeder but wonder if it's realistic whilst my child is so young?

How old is your DC? We got our dog from the local pound when DS was 6.

An awful lot of people with young children rehome dogs from abroad
