Any Canterbury/Sandwich MN'ers

I'm driving to Canterbury from London tomorrow, have to be there for 9.30. Usually it's an hour's journey but with the Open at Sandwich, I wondered if the traffic is going to be heavy.
Anyone local and can tell me if I should leave much earlier please?

Both the M20 and M2 were running smoothly today. I’d be more worried about people heading to the coast near Canterbury but at 8.30am I reckon it will be fine.

On the off chance anyone is interested Smile, journey was good, busy on M2 but we got here in 1hour 20bmins.
