Looking to pick your brains. I, alongside two other psychological therapists, are looking to run some group courses (for between 8-10 people, run virtually).
We have a particular interest in self-compassion, self-care, resilience and living a values-based life.
We are also mums and professional women juggling many roles who completed a course in compassionate approaches during lockdown and noticed how much this course helped us to feel calmer and more connected to family and purpose.
The course we did lasted around 90 minutes per week, with a slightly different topic or focus each week, all along the same theme of compassion. Each week included a mindfulness practice, opportunities to think about the topic and discuss our own experiences and reactions. We also completed a homework task every week and this formed part of the conversation the following week.
We were thinking others might welcome a course like it but wanted to check this out?
What would you be keen to cover and what might put you off doing something like this? Have you done similar groups before and what did you like?
We would be very grateful for your thoughts on this and courses that might be of interest to you. TIA.
