Twitter - can't remember username

I'm going mad with this - has anyone else had this issue and resolved it?

Want to log into Twitter but can't remember my password. Click the forgotten password link but then it says enter your username. Can't remember that either. So I click on the can't remember username link and it takes me to a page that says enter your email and password....

Is there a reason why in 2021 one of the biggest social media platforms in the world can't let you resolve this easily? Has anyone successfully reaccessed their account?

Can you remember anything you previously posted or retweeted? The more obscure the better.

Bit of a slog but you could try the search function to find yourself.

Failing that then email them.

No I didn't really tweet much, just used it for following people. Good idea though, I'll have a think.
