In real life I'm waiting to go out to the pub. In my secret fantasy life I am waiting to go out to the pub and it's less hot.

I just gave the dog a haircut ... she looks like she picked a fight with a drunk sheep shearer🤣I've told her itll grow but I'm sure as hell not walking her in the next few weeks. Its 24 degrees and too hot . I've a leak under the kitchen sink so I'm away to buy wee baskets to organise the crap I cleared out from under sink. DP doing steaks with salsa Verde kinda thing later ..yum

IRL I've just got back from shopping and sat down on sofa.
I'm tired and upset and I just want to cry but kids are right next to me so can't. I'm trying to summon up some strength to put last few bits away then get washing done.

In my fantasy life I'm skiing by myself on virgin snow. it's beautiful. it's sunny. and there's nothing but silence as I'm gliding effortlessly.
it's so peaceful and I'm full of joy

Doing nothing because I have an ear infection that’s affecting my balance, and looking at the mounting piles of chores I’ll have to do when I’m well. Single parent. I’ve ordered McDonalds for me and DD3 (eldest two are with their Dad).

In my fantasy life, someone (anyone) is making me a much nicer, healthier lunch whilst I lie in a hammock in the shade, reading.

I'm hiding inside as it's just too hot for me and DC 6 outside even with a paddling pool. I'm also making soup...

My fantasy would be lying in the sun and then when I get too hot, plunging into a cool pool and then drying off in the sun. All the while someone would be bringing me snacks and topping up my wine glass...and the next day I wouldn't wake at 6.30am and have a colossal hangover. I can dream!

Zing, what's happened?

Fridge forage lunch was halloumi and mushroom omelette with slightly limp salad. I’ve just rearranged the post-shop fridge to make space for a bottle of wine. I think the next job is to empty, clean and refill the hot tub.

In my fantasy life I live near the coast and I’m looking forward to going to the beach in the evening once the crowds have thinned and the weather is cooler.

Currently feeling pissed off as our long awaited hot tub has been delivered broken!
Going to my neighbours in a bit for a bbq so will have to shake myself out of this bad mood. We have made some nice food to take with us and they’re lovely people and lots of fun so I’ll get over it. But still, it’s galling to spend so much money, wait 6 months and receive something faulty.

Doing some tidying in the garden. We've not lived here long and the garden is a right mess.
In a fantasy life I'd be on holiday (preferably without our toddler) in Italy.

Halloumi and mushroom omelette sounds amazing. I love all those things but never thought to put halloumi in omelette.

I'm enjoying an hour peace and quiet in front of my fan...had my parents round for lunch and they've just gone. Going out to a friend's to have drinks in their garden later, looking forward to seeing some other friends there who we haven't seen since last summer.

I've been in the garden but have come in now. It's very quiet. Dh is asleep having worked til 8am and my dog is sleeping. I must take him out later when it's cooler.
In my fantasy life, my Dh and I are sat on a balcony in Spain, eating tapas and drinking champagne. My dog is fast asleep in a fully air conditioned room.
That could happen soon !

Sounds amazing

Have relocated to the shady patch in the garden. Dh has returned from work and is rifling through everything for his parents marriage certificate. Not putting anything back. Made me too sweaty just watching.

I'm sitting on the beach (South Coast) after a lovely lunch of seafood. Fantasy would be doing this abroad without the lists, tests and hassle.

In the real world I have a supermarket shop to do and some proper food to make - both of which I’ve put off and can’t be bothered to do.

In my fantasy world I want to order a takeaway and binge watch something - however I have kids and no babysitter so it won’t be happening.

Went to a farmers’ market earlier for fruit, vegetables, cheese, smoked fish etc. Have been in my deckchair in the garden, reading. Waiting for the sun to go off the fruit & vegetable plot so I can water it. So hot here (rare). Going to do some music practice later & have a walk. Fantasy life would be to live near a warm sea with empty beaches. Have become a happy loner during lockdown. Never thought I would feel this way.

Friend coming for some Chinese food and a good gab. Can't wait.

I don't even know what's wrong (not trying to be cryptic). everyone and everything is pissing me off or upsetting me. urgh

How's your lockdown going?

IRL I've not got anything done I had planned, got stuck in traffic for 5 hours so now I'm sat contemplating what to make for dinner

In my fantasy life I've spent the day at the beach which is a 5 min walk from our lovely holiday home in Cornwall and will order a take away for the evening with a glass of wine

Irl I’m sitting in the shade in the garden with a cup of tea. Which is lovely but I’ve not been able to leave home for about a month due to a combination of an operation, and 2 dc testing positive. So I’m BORED! And I’ve hurt my knee somehow and it hurts :(.

In my fantasy life, I’m sitting outside at a riverside pub, with all my dc, the dog, and an endless (and free) supply of gin

I’ve just realised how ungrateful I sound - I’m not really, I promise - just having a moment.

Spent the afternoon in the garden with my 9 month old grandson and son in law.
In my fantasy life I'd be doing the same but in the Maldives with my daughter and DH there too.
