Im in the garden, cafetiere by my side, animals very still and lazy, ☀️ is hot, no breeze. Mountains are waking up as i can see walkers on paths.

Im off out for a meal tonight with friends and im off on leave for the week.

Its good to be alive people.

What are you doing?

My iron tablets are beginning to take effect, so for the first time in about 5 years I've actually bounced out of bed and I feel fantastic about life.

I'm drinking some coffee, going out in ten minutes to once again begin couch to 5k. I'm then going to put on a pretty dress and go to a friend's house for a lovely, social barbecue.
Right now I'm cuddling a very sleepy small child, and watching the other play make believe with some lego.

Today, life is good.

I've come back to bed because the cats are napping and if I start the chores I'll wake them and we definitely can't have that! Cat 1 is napping in dds bedroom and cat 2 is next to me gently snoring away.

Once the chores are done I'm taking myself off to the park with blankets, books and snacks and enjoying the afternoon and the sunshine ☀️

I’m in bed with a blackout blind covering the window and the portable air con switched on! My room is my cave of relief on hot days. Not a heat lover at all.

That being said, I may well spend some time in the garden later. I have a part of the garden that’s well shaded by trees and never gets the sun. I’ve kept it that way on purpose. I have a comfy swing seat there and I like to sit and read and listen to the birds.

Knowing we had a hot weekend coming I got all my chores etc done in the week so can just relax.

Oh that sounds glorious!!!! I'm sat next to my very poorly 18 month old I can't go out as she has a temperature but I'm happy to live through all of your experiences, I hope you all have a lovely day 💗

I’m sat in front of a fan with all the windows closed. We’re next to fields and plagued by thrips. It’s disgusting and we can’t sit outside or have any windows open before 7pm

What are thrips? Sounds horrible whatever they are!
Glorious here, dragged myself out for an early run because i knew it was going to be scorching, had to divert to the woods for some shade and to splash myself with stream water at one point 😂
But it was totally glorious.

Second covid jab just done and headed to lunch with some friends. They have the paddling pool out so dd is beyond excited. ❤️

Thunderbugs? They’re fairly harmless but ugh. They’ve ruined all my pictures and photos in frames as they get under the glass somehow.

Such a shame you’re being plagued by them. Are they seasonally worse at some times or always around?

Just for a month or so in the summer. We hadn’t seen a single one until a week or so ago. They are all over the windows now and if I leave the doors open they’ll be all over the ceiling and walls. And us.

Thankfully they don’t bite and any that come inside are dead in the morning. But ugh.

We have just come out of quarantine this morning and I am so pleased!! Already been out this morning!!

It is perfect here. Warm and sunny with a little cooling breeze. I am sitting in the garden with coffee, the dog is lying by me and the birds are singing. What's not to like.

Beautiful day here. I am moving 3 tonnes of soil into new raised beds before it gets too hot.
