He's just made me the most amazing cheese on toast I have ever eaten.

I don't know how he manages to make this simple thing into a thing of splendour, but its bloody epic.

Bloody. Epic.

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba yeah ok but does your husband binge watch friends with you Wink

PattyPan · 16/07/2021 22:49

I have a tummy ache so mine made me some plain pasta and put my portion of the stir fry he was having into the fridge for tomorrow. He also brings me cups of tea whenever I mumble in case I’m asking for one Grin

Codoftherings · 16/07/2021 22:53

@iklboo 😂😂😂

BridgeOfLies · 16/07/2021 22:59

Mine has spent today helping our friend who had a car accident earlier He's helped her get to the garage, to the insurance company, taken her shopping, made lots of calls, run some other errands for her and generally been a bloody brilliant support.

Kindness is very underrated, and it really is the most important trait of all in a partner.

crumbsinthejam · 16/07/2021 23:00

My husband came home from shopping one day looking everso pleased with himself. He said "I've bought you a lovely present!"
I was expecting something typically romantic, eg. flowers, chocolates, wine.
He told me to close my eyes and presented me with ...
... a kag in a bag.

to be fair it has come in very very useful, bloody English "summer"

EL8888 · 16/07/2021 23:01

Definitely LTB. Wanker!

Branleuse · 16/07/2021 23:02

@purrswhileheeats

He sounds very controlling.

Back in the real world l love cheese on toast. My fiancé / future husband make steak dinner and a cocktail for me tonight

Newchallenge · 16/07/2021 23:20

Mine met me at the door after my night shift, made me breakfast and tea and brought it up to me on a tray. Despite the fact I was so tired I couldn't put sentences together!

lachy · 17/07/2021 07:59

Aww, there are some lovely blokes around. Mine's bringing me a posh coffee up in about 30 mins and is downstairs with DD so I can have a little snooze!

Ooh what kind of cheese? I can highly recommend Greenfields Lancashire crumbly. Best cheese ever especially melted on toast 😋

trappedsincesundaymorn · 17/07/2021 08:59

I got home after a very stressful shift on Thursday, to a clean house, a glass of wine and dinner cooked.

WorriedWishingWell · 17/07/2021 09:03

Is this thread sponsored by Man Who Has It All? Confused

Pbbananabagel · 17/07/2021 09:59

Mine took point with our 5 week old last night so I could get the longest chunk of unbroken actually laid down sleep (5hrs) I’ve had since he was born. Smile

BorderlineHappy · 17/07/2021 10:05

Not DH but dp.
I was sick during the night and he cleaned it up.
Now if that isn't true love,I don't know what is.

He's also fully house trained, only thing he doesn't do is cook.

SpnBaby1967 · 17/07/2021 10:08

Mine presented me with a glass of cool prosecco last night when I walked in the door after a very hot and sweaty karate lesson.

Perfect.

I however am a very bad wife. DH is doing a bit of gardening so I took him a chilled beer …. all good … however … I tripped (over my own feet) as I approached and poured a large amount of cold beer over him …….

He’s just gone upstairs for his second shower of the day …. 🤣

BecauseMyRingBurnsSheila · 17/07/2021 13:58

Mine actually listened when I said my new favourite gin mixer is lemonade and bought me some ready for the super hot 'made for gin' weekend.

LunaAndHer3Stars · 17/07/2021 14:03

@Howcanthisbe123

LTB!!

I walked into my office to a bouquet of flowers yesterday for no reason, he makes me smile 🥰

Flowers out of nowhere! Oh My GOD, LTB he's cheating.
PyjamaFan · 17/07/2021 14:05

Mine brings me a coffee in bed every morning.

But then he does make and eat toast straight off the counter. I've tried to explain the concept of plates to him...

afaloren · 17/07/2021 14:10

Lovely thread.

Mine did all the awful jobs getting ready for friends coming round and left me the easy ones. He also makes a marvellous pulled pork roll thing which we are going to have for dinner. He knows I find hosting stressful, although I love having people here, and he makes sure that it’s as easy as possible for me. All I will have to do once the guests arrive is waft around drinking wine and be praised for my baking.

youkiddingme · 17/07/2021 16:25

DH has just picked and topped and tailed a huge bowl of gooseberries - a job he knows I hate - while I made pastry.

I love all the positivity on this thread.
