Camping question- butane canisters

KindergartenKop · 16/07/2021 10:30

Thrilling topic I know!

I am taking a medium sized single ring stove camping. I'll probably only use it for boiling the kettle in the morning. Two cans of butane will be plenty right? They're the ones about 20cm long.

Thanks 😊

This kind of stove?

Yes, if you're not planning on cooking on it every evening, I'd have thought that would be fine.

How long ae you going for?

One will easily last a weekend if you are just boiling a kettle.

KindergartenKop · 16/07/2021 12:18

@rbe78 yes that exact one! I'm only going to use it for a kettle in the morning and as a back up in the evening if the big fire won't light!

I use one of those to cook my chops etc outside (wife doesn’t like the smell) every evening and a canister lasts me two weeks of evening meals.

@Penners99 is she a vegetarian?! Thanks, that's useful. I think 2 will be enough to take!
