What should I buy?? Not books, I have recently received quite a few new books. And not toys for my children! Something nice for me...

What do you like?

Off the top of my head I'm thinking speciality food or sweets, a nice bottle of booze, jewellery, make up, a hoodie, craft materials.....the list is endless.

missnevermind · 16/07/2021 03:25

I bought a special jug for my coffee machine with mine (£30). Definitely a present for me and no way in the world would I have paid that price for it.

BlueRaincoat1 · 16/07/2021 08:09

Booze and a hoodie are excellent ideas! Don't need a jug, bit I would like a water caraffe... could look for one of those. Any other ideas?

Have you looked on Amazon Handmade? Its a bit like Etsy. All sorts of lovely things in there…

I love Kipling bags. I'd buy one of those.

BlueRaincoat1 · 16/07/2021 09:19

Hmm had a look, Kipling bags not quite to my taste, but a backpack is a good idea, as my current one is very battered...

I use them for travel and going out with the kids. Not a 'nice' handbag if you know what I mean! Also for some reason they hold their value really well so I buy on Amazon when they are on offer and sell on on eBay.

BarbaraofSeville · 16/07/2021 09:57

New backpack sounds like a good plan. I'm also a Kipling fan, I have about 5 different ones, but obviously you choose something that you like.

I wouldn't spend real money on a water carafe. I bought a bottle of Voss sparkling water for £1.50 and use that. It's a slim, stylish glass bottle that fits nicely in the fridge door as well as looking fine on the dining table.

Alcohol

If pampering etc is your thing then treat yourself to £50 worth of whatever you fancy. Or drinks/eating out or whatever.

Then, spend the Amazon voucher on everyday stuff that you would be buying anyway.
