Why are you awake at this time?

2.15am. I'm sat in A&E for the past 10 hours.

What has you awake so late if you're in the same time zone as me?

PS am hoping you have a bed?!

I recently started on criminal minds which I love, but it does keep me awake :D I wake every night around this time and then can’t fall back asleep for ages…I’m also BF a 1 year old and struggling with this heat!

I’ve been on these night posts more often than I’d like recently!

I’ve done something to my back, they think trapped nerve. Spent 14 hours on my hallway floor yesterday, crying from the pain and unable to move. I’ve made it to the bed and it subsided a little but creeping up again 😢

I'm awake because my have to be up early to travel for a work meeting. I'm full of a head cold already so desperately need the sleep but my stupid brain is keeping me awake because it's anxious about getting enough sleep and being up early.

Oh thats horrible. Really hope it eases soon and you get some effective pain relief in the meantime . Trapped nerves and back spasms are awful . X

@pinkponkpunk bahahahaha he’s been my ex for 9 years! All I have in the house is some codeine left over from a wisdom tooth extraction last year, so I’ve taken that. But I’m still in juuuuust enough pain to keep me awake.

Don’t know about it being trapped wind 😩but it could be a trapped nerve ?
I have had a painful shoulder before and it was actually pain coming from my neck.I took ibuprofen and laid on 3 pillows and it did the trick for me.

I've just fed DS again (3 months old and a terrible sleeper literally what the HV said perfect) and I have a very sore throat so I'm going to get a cup of tea once he's back in bed

Thank you @flapjackfairy that’s really kind. Doctor has given me various tablets so I’m just getting through it hour by painful hour x

Are you on this weird post labour high where you're just wide awake? I had it, didn't know it was a thing!

My four month old just woke for a feed. Everyone is now back asleep except me.

I'm up too! Been throwing up since about 8pm and apparently it's never ending. Not sure if I have a bug or it's a reaction to the vaccine. So tired now!

Drs thought i had a brain bleed one Friday afternoon,

They kept me and scanned me on Monday afternoon

Thankfully and (obviously) i didnt die 🤷🏻‍♀️

I often am. I just got the milk in and am now thinking about making some toast before, hopefully, going to sleep.

Omg that’s terrible for you, I’m really sorry.
You should call a ambulance as you can’t suffer like that as it sounds serious and you need pain relief and I would imagine x rays or a scan .

Toddler is suddenly terrified of his room. He's always slept well so no idea how to handle this .

He could of seen a little spider, flying ant as they are everywhere at the moment .
My daughter is 11 and will scream the house down if she sees a spider in her room.
Check the room and ceiling for little bugs.

@avamiah I went round the houses with 111 instead and they did say back to doctors or I could call ambulance, but they implied doctors would be better, who have now upped medication.

I can’t shake the feeling ambulances are for heart attacks, strokes etc and wouldn’t be right to call if I can just keep going :(

Maybe.. wish he could talk to tell me. He wouldn't sleep till 10.30 then was awake again at 2. Work will be fun tomorrow 😭

Yes I know what your saying but you can’t lay on the floor in that amount of pain for all those hours.
If the pain gets that severe again then you should call a ambulance in my opinion as the medication your GP prescribed isn’t enough to deal with the pain.
Hope it doesn’t come to that.

Feeding my 9mo and worrying about covid. On isolation as 4yo has been exposed but everyone testing negative so far 🤞🏻

I've just had a nightmare that feels like I'm trying to write a horror novel in my sleep - 2nd night in a row having a nightmare & no idea why! Last night's didn't wake me though as it wasn't quite so scary !

Last night I dreamt my intestines burst through my stomach & I was in excruciating pain! Tonight I've dreamt that a person (me, but looked nothing like me!) was being driven crazy in their own home - anytime they went to bed, they'd wake up in the morning wearing different clothes / things moved in their bedroom etc & there no memory of doing it. I woke up petrified when I discovered that there was a secret way into the room via a wardrobe! Even typing this is giving me chills as I'm not describing it very well but I was honestly petrified in the dream.

@avamiah you are right and I wish I had posted this earlier! Still clinging to the hope there will be a small improvement today

Oh I got my scan at like 9pm, been waiting since then to see a doctor. It's so busy. No bed, but we've been given a blanket because it's so bloody cold now. I'm so tired and ready to be back home with my man and two babies 😭😭
