Roll up, roll up!

List your ideas here so we can come back to it in the future when we are ready to explode!

I only have primary age but a few ideas from me are:

Play doh
Get them in the bath!
Making roads out of tape on the floor
Hide and seek
Leave me alone T. V time!

Paper plate painting
Muddy walks
Lego
Card games
Baking
Write a funny story, one line each
Draw silly pictures, body part each, swapping picture and folding paper so you end up with something ridiculous!
Dancing to music

My eldest liked to do maths, or school work in general so I would print off worksheets. Also used to se the pair of them a topic on a Monday (aged 6&8) and they had to produce a project complete with PowerPoint on a Friday, kept them quiet for hours. Obviously topics were things they liked, but I still have them years later (btw the novelty of doing school work wore off by secondary!)

We have already been off school for 40 days and I'm running out of ideas for the pre-teens. I'd have thought they could entertain themselves by now but no... I can add for older kids:

  • get them to learn touchtyping and do a typing challenge
  • compose a song about your sibling, bonus points for home made instruments
  • plan a posh meal for parents, cook it and serve!

Brilliant suggestions!

And @Zerogravity Well done for making it this far! Have a Wine

I took the kids out of school today (the schools almost shut anyway as so many staff are isolating) and we went to the beach! Twas bloody brilliant 🏖️
