Can anyone recommend a decent office/desk chair?

I’m WFH and currently using a dining chair. I have a very very stiff and achy lumbar area, but when I’ve bought chairs in the past with lumbar support or a lumbar support cushion they make me feel like I’m being pushed off the chair.

I don’t really mind what it looks like - hoping to get to IKEA at the weekend if anyone has a good one from there!

I’ve got no back issues, but have been happy on the IKEA hattefjall for a year now.

I was on a dining chair for about a month before I couldn’t stand the wrong height, thigh pressure etc any longer and went and took one from the office. I replaced it with the IKEA one because it’s prettier! I’m amazed you’ve lasted so long on a dining chair!

Ah thanks! I’ll try that one out when I go to ikea. I did actually buy a chair from Amazon which I used for a but it wasn’t comfy for me so I sold it - I think the back stiffness is exacerbated from generally moving around less since being at home, I must start going for the ‘lunchtime walk’ I’ve been on about since January Blush

I use a large balance ball... keeps me moving

@KILNAMATRA do you have to have good balance? I worry I'd keep falling!
