The nurse used the instrument in a very uncaring way and it hurt when it went in, which it doesn't usually. Now I feel like my muscles are all tensing and clamping down below and won't relax. And the tension seems to be moving upwards a bit so now I have lower abdominal pain.
Will this sort itself out by itself, or do I need to speak to someone?
I've had plenty of smear tests in the past, but this situation has never happened to me before.
