Confused

It's a micro poppy which I found in my planter.

It's so tiny (£1 for scale)

Aww I love poppies. They don't last long but are charming while they're with us. Do you normally have tiny ones or is it anomalous to your collection?

daisycottage · 14/07/2021 23:59

The poppies are usually normal size. This is the smallest poppy I've ever seen.

This is one of the regular size ones.

ooo let it go to seed, collect them and see if you can get it growing again next year, then call the RHS

Poppies make me happy too, so here's one of mine Smile

Ack it won't let me post the image, sorry!

daisycottage · 15/07/2021 00:13

It's okay, try again later.

Awww,
It still gets chilly at night, do you think it needs a wee jacket?

Q1w2e3 · 15/07/2021 00:23

Can you grow poppies in a pot? That’s very exciting. I must get some for next year. How long do they last?

GameofPhones · 15/07/2021 00:40

I often find miniaturised plants in dry stone walls and pavements, and photograph them as you've done.

I think they just come up once then you collect the seeds and sow again. You just scatter them around and see what happens.
