Where to eat in central London on Friday night

We have a lateish comedy show on the south bank on Friday night. We are looking for somewhere fun, informal and buzzy to eat, earlier on. Open to location, but probably within zone 1 and 2 for ease of travel. Any suggestions?

Wahaca is in south bank.Wagamama too
What train/tube do yiu need to be at to get home as I think that’s usually best plan Eat near where you travel from. So you’re not eating, drinking and then have a big schlep to get home

Borough market...

Lobos
El Pastor
Patty & Bun
Padella

Either borough market - yes yes yes to El pastor! - or go down Bermondsey St - great Spanish tapas there - Jose or Pizarro are great - you can book Pizarro but will have to wait in line for Jose. Lots of other great eateries on that street as well - cafe murano also nice and bookable.

Some great suggestions here! Plans have changed last minute, hence no bookings as yet. It's been a while since I've been in London and I feel out of the food loop!

All the borough market suggestions are great, I forget about the restaurants there
Near St James, if you like modern Indian try Quilion
