...ie almost all of the ones on the market - by Plum, etc - do you let older or heavier kids still use them and up to what age/weight?

We bought a solid wooden Rebo triple swing from OutdoorToys. Me and dh have had a fair few shots on it Grin

Never felt that metal ones felt safe enough, far too much wobbling in them.

I definitely think there is a market for sturdier swing sets!

We had a metal one recommended for up to 10 and DSD10 broke it Sad shes quite sturdy but not huge. I felt sorry for her even though we'd asked her several times not to use it, she was so embarrassed. So when we get the little ones a new one the older kids will absolutely not be allowed near it! They can stick to the trampoline

Best swing I found for older ones was a 10 quid fabric one from IKEA you hang off a tree. I have had many goes, trees still standing. I’ve banned my eldest from the swing set as it wobbles too wildly.

We have a wooden one, which states up to 50kg, but manufacturer recommendation also states up to 10 years. Does anyone know if the manufacturer recommendation tends to be accurate or conservative?! Most 10 year olds aren't 50kg I don't think.

Try
bravetoys.com

We have a double swing and a big seat which can take up to 100kg +

My youngest DD is 15 and it is used often, we were also struggling to find something suitable for older children when she was 11+

We are very happy with it and I can easily have a swing on it without having to worry.

That is super, thanks @lovetheweekends
