Pregnant on the pill

Hi!
So I’m 28, and have been on the combined pill for 6+years. My husband and I have decided to start a family next year. Must have made me pretty lax on the pill because last month I missed a BUNCH!! I know, face palm. Anyway, I’ve been pretty nauseous the last week on and off, today I started the breakthrough bleed (much earlier than it should be) but it feels sooooo much worse than usual. Very crampy.
I just wanted to know if anyone that got pregnant on the pill actually had any breakthrough bleeding?
Thanks!

I took the pill religiously for 10 years, only stopping to conceive ds1 in 2017. Went back on it, and got the shock of my life last year when I found I was pregnant. I only took the test as my hair was falling out a scary amount and I knew the GP would ask! I did have some light bleeding when I was around 6 weeks pregnant.

Wow! Big shock I’m sure!!!

So your bleeding did not happen at the time a usual breakthrough bleeding would happen?

No it didn’t - by that point I hadn’t done a test and thought it was a dodgy period (I had sporadic periods anyway despite pill)
