It’s 15 years since I last went house hunting. 15 mins felt like a short appointment but guess this might be standard rather than the estate agent thinking I’m not serious?! (They have no reason to think this!)

I am just updating my Excel spreadsheet of pros and cons - naturally. Will do another update after this afternoon’s visit, and then I’ll probably have decided by the morning

Yes, we accepted offer day after it went on Rightmove for full asking price. Fingers crossed there are no hiccups that will derail the sale. Smile

cobblers123 that’s great news!

I’ve decided to put an offer in tomorrow. Eek!

Whoo hoo cobblers and tunnocks, this is great.

tunnocksreturns2019 · 14/07/2021 19:01

First offer rejected but have gone back with another - now estate agent can’t get hold of owners 😬 they are on holiday on the coast and their mobile reception is not great!!

Another fairly sleepless night ahead I think!!

Buying houses makes me so anxious. I’m glad I only do it once every fifteen years Grin

Oh tunnocks I hope it works out for you 🏠

tunnocksreturns2019 · 14/07/2021 21:38

The buyers continue to be impossible to get hold of. Can’t blame them for enjoying their holiday! But it’s another stressy day…

I hate the not knowing.

OP posts:
tunnocksreturns2019 · 15/07/2021 13:22

There are zero other houses that meet my requirements in the area I want. I hopefully didn’t let on though!

Can you do that mindfulness thingy of letting the stream with the sellers floating on it flow past you, you observe the flow, you acknowledge it and um well now I can't recall how to say come back to it on Monday so you're not fretting about stuff you can't control. Obvs I am no motivational speaker, in fact a bit of a twat Grin

FlibbertyGiblets 🤣🤣🤣

Offer accepted! GrinGrin

Sellers haven’t found a new house yet though so could be a slow burner, though hopefully not the way the market is going

FlibbertyGiblets · 16/07/2021 11:40

Whoo hoo!
AIR PUNCH

Passingahat · 16/07/2021 11:44

Congratulations

15 min is totally normal in my experience

We've also found the market is very hot so there isn't a chance for second viewings before making offers and in general that offers are expected in 24 hours

We found that people that house hunted previously in different climates were telling us that it wasn't normal, to take longer to view, have multiple viewings, that estate agents would phone us about properties, offer under asking always etc. We had to ignore most of that as it just wasn't how the market was where we were a few months ago

Things seem like they are slowing down here though

Fabulous tunnocks 🏠🎉🎉🍾.
