This.
Ghosttile · 13/07/2021 00:21

True.

Aquafizzle · 13/07/2021 05:33

So glad he did.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 13/07/2021 05:43

Well done him!

MrsJackGrealish · 13/07/2021 07:07

Well done, Ty.

Howshouldibehave · 13/07/2021 07:14

Good for him. It’s interesting times when footballers are the only ones in a position where they feel they can speak their mind against injustices like this.

TheFairyCaravan · 13/07/2021 08:35

Good for him!

I actually love this present group of footballers in the England team. They make me so proud and are incredible role models for young people. Well for all of us really.

Nonmaquillee · 13/07/2021 08:39

Bloody well done to him. He's absolutely nailed it. PP should be utterly ashamed of herself for her sheer hypocrisy.

What wonderful role models some of these footballers are. Their mums must be so very very proud.

CarrieCat · 13/07/2021 08:41

Agree with Tyrone. The booing should have been condemned by the government

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 13/07/2021 08:44

Good. He's absolutely right.

Geamhradh · 13/07/2021 08:45

Perfect.
As was Harry Kane telling the racist knuckle draggers that the team don't want their support.

ChocolateRiver · 13/07/2021 09:02

He’s spot on, well done for speaking out. This group of players are much better role models than the ones of previous years.

3Lions · 13/07/2021 09:13

🖤

Elleherd · 13/07/2021 09:14

Tell it like it is! Way to go!

Theunamedcat · 13/07/2021 09:19

Normally I would say footballers should kick balls not play with politics but this last 18 months a lot of them have been absolutely spot on haven't they

DerisorySnort · 13/07/2021 09:23

Good for him!

PP is a horror of a human being.

BajanB · 13/07/2021 09:25

To damn right. Good on him for pulling her up for such hypocrisy.

Kendodd · 13/07/2021 09:29

Spot on. So glad we haven't seen any of the wags on arms as well.

SancerreSunsets · 13/07/2021 09:30

Good for him. Absolutely spot on.

theworldsbiggestcrocodile · 13/07/2021 09:31

Well someone needs to. I'm so sick of the top down racism and general divisiveness of politicians and the rank hypocrisy. Good on him.

Oceanos · 13/07/2021 09:36

I think it's a bit weird that someone who is standing up against racism now is being called out on it now. She was pulled up for it after the original comments too.

It feels like it's a sign that people don't think attitude and behaviours can change and is quite scary to see that.

Allington · 13/07/2021 09:39

Good for him, and the rest of the team for their solidarity with their black team mates. They are setting a great example.

MrsTophamHat · 13/07/2021 09:49

I think it shows that people know hypocrisy and bandwagon jumping when they see it. She hasn't "changed her mind" in light of something new. This happens week in week out, and is the reason that the footballers have been taking the knee, for which she criticised them.
Cooldryplace · 13/07/2021 09:55

I actually think it's terrifying (no not too strong, I don't think) that both she and the PM felt unable to condemn the booing in the first place. I mean what is there to object to in a group of people making a short, quiet protest to highlight a major social injustice? How could the booing possibly be justified and yet they know their audience so couldn't condemn it Sad
