I need one. I have money to spend on one. I'm sick of breaking up lasagne sheets to fit.

Recommend me your perfect lasagne dishes that nicely fit (3?) lasagne sheets across all the way up....

Following as last time I made a lasagna it was in a round dish and that was interesting to say the least!

Bought one from Laura Ashley.. Maybe ebay? I got a LA brand new pie dish and blackbird for a tenner still boxed!

Mrsjayy · 12/07/2021 21:50

I got my new one in The range a few months ago it was £ 7 I also make shepherd's pie in it

ScreamGulpLaughandGasp · 12/07/2021 21:52

Sainsbury sells them, like a large ceramic roasting tray with handles

TinaYouFatLard · 12/07/2021 21:54

Ooh I need this information too! I’ve started buying fresh lasagne sheets as it’s easier to trim with scissors but I’d prefer a dish that was sheet sized.

Mrsjayy · 12/07/2021 21:54

It's £8.99 not 7 sorry

I use the sheets that need precooking and use scissors to size them. Easier than snapping.

That's probably what I would do too but due to a couple of family members being coeliac we are limited to dried gluten free lasagne sheets.

I'm not sure I've ever seen one that's completely straight-sided — you'll nearly always need more pasta at the top than the bottom.

Jadetreesbringluck · 12/07/2021 22:45

I do mine in a large loaf tin! It's brilliant as you get good height and layers and it's really easy to slice & serve. Game changer!

HasaDigaEebowai · 12/07/2021 22:50

I have a rectangular Pyrex with a lid. Its fab since you can go from freezer straight into the oven.

ContessaVerde · 12/07/2021 22:59

I’m with Jade trees! A bread tin is perfect. Cooks really well deep rather than spread out.

ChippyDucks150 · 12/07/2021 23:02

IKEA do a perfectly rectangular oven dish with straight sides that is ideal for lasagne

MyCatWouldChaseYourCat · 12/07/2021 23:03

I have an IKEA glass one which is about the same size as a roasting tin. Maybe 33cm x 23cm? It takes two lasagne sheets with the long side of the lasagne sheet lined up against the short side of the dish, if that makes sense? It makes a lasagne big enough for six, ie a full packet of the fresh sheet stuff.

I think this is it? I’ve had it for over ten years though!

Ariela · 12/07/2021 23:44

I've a red Denby small rectangular oven dish, that is just perfect for 3 sheets. Had it years though.

BarbaraofSeville · 13/07/2021 04:55

They don't exist, make patitsio (Greek dish, similar to macaroni cheese on top of Bolognese sauce) instead.

ElderMillennial · 13/07/2021 05:00

I've got Pyrex dishes with lids and tubs them quite useful

Breathmiller · 13/07/2021 05:33

Pastabedt I also use gluten free lasagne sheets but soak them first too. I find them nicer in the finished dish when I do.
