Thinking of my sisters who have every reason to dread what just happened. Reach out, people WILL help you. Stay as safe as you can.

It’s heartbreaking. Horrible that so many women think there is no help, wish they could reach out, wish there was better help out there.

And we lost… pls whoever knows this is now not safe pls DO IT NOW - make that call to your friend, ask ur family to help, get on Twitter. It’s now.

Funnily enough as we left the pub before the end I said to dh I feel very sorry for the women whose men who are so into football they come home and get abusive with their partner when their team loses

There needs to be more help for women who want to leave, but who are frightened about where they will go, children, finances etc. Leaving an abuser should be straightforward and there should be proper assistance out there.
