I used a Kozy Karrier mei tai/Asian style carrier years ago, and I wanted to buy one for a friend. But it was a one-woman business and she seems to have stopped making them. Can anyone recommend theirs?

I had a melkaj one but I also think she has stopped making them. You can pick up a preloved one.
Mine had cord straps which was so comfy and grippy. And was reversible

Ahh, such a shame. Hopefully there's someone still sewing!

There are some buying and selling sling sites on Facebook who would be good for advice too

We have a fidella half-buckle which is lovely, really comfy and we all like using it. They do a meh dai in the same style which I’m sure would be good.

A voucher for a sling library might be a good alternative if you’re not sure what to buy?

Friend is in the US, so the voucher idea is not so easy.

I have a Lenny lamb which is great.

SprogletsMum · 12/07/2021 07:11

I don't know if they're still a thing but I had a babyhawk one when my dc were small.

PotteringAlong · 12/07/2021 07:18

My Lenny lamb did all 3 of my children. I loved it!

A Babyhawk is exactly what I'm looking for, but they don't seem to exist any more either. Lenny Lamb definitely exists (good news!) - it's not the perfect mei tai I was looking for, but it might be the next best thing. Plus, not everyone likes tying knots, right?

I also had a Lenny Lamb, so lovely and soft.

My other sling was a Connecta, Mai tai in style but with buckles, a really good option if your friend isn't sure about knots. I think they are called Integra now.

leafinthewind · 12/07/2021 09:47

Those Integras look good too. My friend is larger - guessing UK size 22 or possibly 24. Do you think the buckle carriers are adjustable enough? One of the plus sides of tying knots is that it fits pretty much anyone.
