Stress incontinence

Anybody else have to endure this?

I can't see pelvic floor exercises doing much cop now, I'm pregnant with #3 and the damage is done (I'm doing them regardless)

What's the answer? Am I destined to having to take spare pants with me everywhere?

I went down the women's physio and surgery root and it's changed my life. I took up running again and haven't carried spare underwear in years!

You need physio, they can help you.

Go to a women's health physio. It was genuinely life changing. I went from wetting myself everytime I stood up to being able to bounce on a trampoline with my kids. That woman deserves a medal. Worth every penny and more.

My GP referred me to women's physio in 2019, the physiotherapist saw me just once before telling me to do my pelvic floors and discharging me Sad

I have a moderate cystocele.

Those of you who've had better experiences with physio, what did they do for you?

The NHS one I saw was lovely but ultimately a bit useless. Started off well but then she went on mat leave and the second was useless.

So I paid privately and she was amazing.

She did a full diagnostic which included an internal examination and having her insert her fingers whilst I did variations of pelvic floor exercises to a) assess my baseline strength and b) check I was doing them correctly. She then gave me several exercises to work on, stretches and such as well as pelvic floor exercises. I went back every 4 weeks and got reassessed and the variations changed. By the time I was done my rectocele had almost fully healed as had my diastasis recti. I have urge incontinence too but she even helped with that, though it wasn't as successful.
