Apologies I see the same thread was done last year. However, possibly in a year there is other worthwhile stuff added. What are your best buys there please! Thanks

Krusteaz buttermilk pancake mix, it’s good value it’s not massively amazing but you only need to add water and then once you’ve added your toppings they taste the same as another convenient pancake mix. My two live for pancakes so it really suits us 🤣.

I have a lot of smoothies and their frozen fruit is really nice and good value too.

OneGlamMama · 11/07/2021 08:48

Two bite brownies Star

MorningNinja · 11/07/2021 08:55

I second the pancake mix.

The salmon fillets in the refrigerator dept.

The carrot cake/birthday cakes are delicious.

Own brand toilet paper and kitchen roll.

Pots of hummus.

Croissants
Blueberry muffins (also, the ginger ones when they're in store, usually from Halloween - they are lovely)
Caesar salad
Tiramisu desserts.
Aged gouda
Frozen salt and pepper calamari
Bin bags
Laundry liquid
dishwasher tablets
Check out the wines - some of the 'Kirkland' own label ones, especially the US ones, have been really good.
Hoummus
Continental meats and cheese
The fruit and veg are excellent quality - we had some strawberries last year which tasted how strawberries should/used to taste. Also, corn on the cob.
Have had some good birthday/Christmas presents from the book section.

Livinthedream84 · 11/07/2021 08:58

Dishwasher tablets
Bin bags
Frozen fruit (lasts ages)

Join the Costco Appreciation Society on FB. People love Costco there.

Cat food, cookies, brownie mix, ribs, spices, tinned tomatoes (non-salted), cheesecake, magnums, frozen flamin' chicken, anything Kirkland. The Gourmia air fryer and some Sketchers joggers.

I would avoid the red cheese and I'm not a fan of the iced cakes but that's about it.

Marmite27 · 11/07/2021 09:02

Kitchen roll, laundry liquid, fabric conditioner and coffee. We buy these regularly.

We also like pizza, two bite brownies, two bite cinnamon rolls, Bonne maman tartlets, books, Gerry shorts and occasionally children’s clothes.

Marmite27 · 11/07/2021 09:02

Oh and Polarerri Ice Pops

GnomeOrMistAndIceGuy · 11/07/2021 09:07

Case of 19 Crimes, toilet roll, cat food pouches, Unstoppables laundry scenters, fruit, halloumi, fish, venison....ah I could spend my whole paycheck in there....

WeAreTheHeroes · 11/07/2021 09:09

The cakes are grim imho - tasteless and covered in buttercream style icing which hasn't been near butter.

ThirtyCharacterUsernamesOnly30 · 11/07/2021 09:20

The fresh strawberry tarts.
The naan breads make great pizza bases for a quick dinner.
The big plastic storage containers with black lids.
Frozen chicken tenders.

Loads of posters will tell you the butcher meat is brilliant quality and value ( we're vegetarian except DS so never bought it ) you might want to look there but the packs are big !

We buy -
part backed baguetes/ciabata
bin-bags/kitchen bin bags (the ones in the box with the drawstring)
cheddar
Alpro soya milk
Tripicana
olives
Bonne Maman jam -huge jars
Nutella ( tried the Kirkland one , it was ok but not as good)
Bottles of orange juice
Water
Looroll (the Kirkland one is good)
Kitchen towels -but you need storage Grin

There's a range of kitchen/household that if you aren't looking for any particular item or brand , you can get a great bargain

They'll have their Christmas stock in September Xmas Grin . I used to buy a pack of the decorated glass baubles every couple of years but now have cats so No Glass on the tree .

Some branded clothes - if you price match you can see if its a good deal.
I;ve bought Pringle, CK, Carole Hochman which are fine
Bought some DKNY bra-lets for DD which werent £ but looked really shit after the first wash . Returns were back to store but I CBA going back for that
Their returns policy is really good though for things like appliances

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/07/2021 09:24

Oh and
Petrol

And if you need tyres they often have a deal

redandwhite1 · 11/07/2021 09:25

Toilet roll
Baked beans
Chopped tomatoes
Foil
Their cookieeeeees

TheSunShinesBrighter · 11/07/2021 09:26

My workplace throws a Costco buffet & BBQ each year (well it did before Covid).

BBQ meat was not good 😷
Ready made sandwiches good
Salads fine
Celebration cakes dreadful cheap/nasty
Small cakes/tarts good

Blueuggboots · 11/07/2021 09:27

I get the extra virgin rapeseed oil, halloumi, oranges, bin bags, oat milk (when they have it), and the Korean bbq pork belly bites are AWESOME.

HopingForABetterYear · 11/07/2021 09:30

Toilet roll
washing powder
Softener
Dishwasher tablets
Mix of chocolate/plain croissants
Fresh potato wedges with sour cream and cheese etc

edgeware · 11/07/2021 09:30

The costco malbec is brilliant

thecapitalsunited · 11/07/2021 09:39

We get dog food, giant foil and cling film, giant tubs of jelly beans, peanut butter pretzel pieces, bbq sauce, herbs and spices in massive tubs, meat, ready made margarita, Kirkland Malbec, jalapeño popper, mozzarella sticks, big bags of frozen pot sticker dumplings which cook so so well, Cheesecake Factory cheese cake. There are probably more bits but I don’t buy everything all the time. You have to be careful with prices because no everything is cheaper but Kirkland brand stuff is generally good quality.

Right now my favourite is giant packs of prunes because I have pregnancy related constipation 😂

cookiemonster5 · 11/07/2021 09:48

We went yesterday for the first time in a few years. I'm eating the krusteze pancakes right now. So quick and easy. Their profiteroles are amazing. We stocked up on fairy liquid, washing pods and vanish powder. Next time I go I'm stocking up on spices. Their big bottles of maple syrup are worth it for us being a family with Canadian blood it's like another food group for us lol. Rollover hotdogs and the big slabs of mozzarella for making pizzas and of course their huge pizzas for £6.99. I have to cut them to fit in the oven but that's tonight's tea sorted for before the football.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 11/07/2021 09:51

Our nearest Costco is 45 minutes away plus we don't have a huge freezer so I've never bothered joining. I'm not spending 3 hours on a Saturday driving and shopping even if it does save a few quid. But maybe I'm.missing a trick?

popcorndiva · 11/07/2021 10:02

Ice pops
Bulk buy of coca cola cans
Toilet roll obviously
2 bite brownies
Children's books

Dutypaid · 11/07/2021 10:09

Any meat. Just divide up for the freezer. Bottles of pre mixed margaritas are a must (blitz with ice in a food processor and serve)

ramonaquimby · 11/07/2021 10:17

Maple syrup
Big bags of Choc chips
Large bags of flour (we bake loads!)
Spices
Sushil
Ghirardelli brownie mix
Books are always worth a poke through

LittleFriendSusan · 11/07/2021 10:18

I joined last month with a Groupon offer. Got huge pack of toilet roll (own brand - much better than I expected), big tubs of houmous & olives, sushi, danish pastries, Lavazza coffee beans, big pack of pickled herring, bagels, Pepsi max, 6 bottles of Apothic red wine, duck breasts, rotisserie chicken, toothpaste, barbecue coals, cherry tomatoes & various other things that I can't remember right now! All good prices and quality. I'd have got more meat etc but no room in the freezer.

I got a free red velvet cake which was too sickly for our liking (and bloody huge!) - but I know others who love them (not a big fan of buttercream / cupcakes either).

Oh and we got a tray of the dirty wedges or whatever they call them to have with the rotisserie chicken - they were also good as a very quick shove-it-in the oven dinner. Caesar chicken salad looked good so might try that next time.

Fuel & tyres were a good price & also the optician looked reasonable.
