How long to defrost cupcakes?

Clueless baker alert... I have cupcakes I want to eat tomorrow afternoon. When do I take them out of the freezer?

An hour or so before, sponges don't take long to defrost at all

I take a muffin out of the freezer each morning to take to work for breakfast. After 3 hours it's completely defrosted, and not even cold anymore either.

Cupcakes REALLY wont take long.
