I've wondered this for a while so thought I'd ask here to see if anyone can answer. Why are councils cutting off all the short cuts/side roads and through routes, and putting in loads of one way roads to push everyone on to the same route?
In my opinion, it causes a ridiculous amount of traffic, increases pollution and just pisses everyone off.
On top of that, a lot of the time you can't stop or park on the bits you can drive through so you can't go in any of the shops on the high streets.
So why are they doing it?
