Anyone got a Sage Barista bean to cup machine?

Need a new machine and after a Delonghi Magnifica which only lasted a few years we want to try something different and which suits the industrial vibe of the new kitchen.

The machine looks amazing, possibly a bit more of a faff than the magnifica, would appreciate any comments.

We always have espressos or long blacks, really want something which will produce a crema.

Thanks in advance

We do, it looks amazing in the kitchen. Makes fabulous coffee (we drink latte and americano). Best buy ever.

Thanks both, appreciated!

Not the Sage one but we bought a Melitta Solo bean to cup, definitely the best thing - perfect coffee at the touch of a button.

Just jumping on this thread as I need to replace my Delonghi bean to cup machine which didn’t work that well to start with and has now given up Hmm

Have been looking at the Barista Express but it seems complicated to use and time consuming? Is anyone able to share their experience with this model or any of the other sage models? Thanks

We have the Sage Barista bean to cup and highly recommend. We thought long and hard before purchase and haven’t regretted it for a minute. I drink black coffee and once you have settings right always get a good crema.

To make a coffee takes c. 2 mins - longer if you want to froth milk etc. It seemed complicated to start but you soon get the hang of it. If you have are making lots of coffees at once it is of course slower than a cafetière or similar but the taste of the coffee is worth it. I would repurchase one tomorrow if needed.

We have one, DH has tried all coffee making methods and machines over the years, to the benefit of friends and family, who are the recipients of the discarded equipment. He is extremely fussy about his coffee and the Sage Barista is the only one that has stayed and doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere.

Sounds reassuring as I’m no barista by any stretch but do enjoy good coffee!

Think I’ll take the plunge now while the machines are £100 cheaper.

yes, we have the oracle touch model - swear by it.

The double boiler over the single boiler in the cheaper model makes it a lot easier to make multiple clips

I was secretly hoping nobody would mention the more expensive models! It does look really good though and more to the point quicker and easier to use, which I’m sure DH will appreciate as he’s up at 6am most days for work.

We started with the Sage Barista Express several years ago and when it broke down 2 years ago we upgraded to the Sage Barista Touch which costs twice as much usually.
The Barista Express gives you maximum control over everything but personally I prefer the Barista Touch as it froths the milk for you to a good microfoam standard (you can do it manually if you prefer).
I couldn't live without it and rarely enjoy coffee out nowadays as it always falls short.
You do with both machines, have to source very fresh beans to get the best results but having the grinder built in is a real bonus with both models.
In other parts of the world they are a Breville machine.
There are lots of videos on YouTube you can watch to get a better idea.

This. I often have to be up at 5am and it’s a real life enhancer at that painful time in the morning 😂

I think I'm sold on the Sage! Can't justify the £1000 model so Barista it is!

Jelly I did look at the Melitta thanks, looks great. I just can't stop looking at the Sage!
