Caught up with DB, DSIL & my niece today which was lovely. I wasn’t feeling brilliant so had postponed a pub lunch with my parents but actually it did me good to spend time with extended family. Tried a coffee place I hadn’t been to before right on the harbour side. The village has really come to life whilst keeping it’s charm. I felt well enough later to clean the kitchen, do some washing & sort out the bunnies. Now having a glass of wine. DH picking up a chippy tea on his way home later.

At this exact moment in time, dc are on their way out to meet some friends for the evening, I'm drinking tea and wondering whether I need to water the plants in pots in the garden, and DH is having a snooze.

Just fed some tired, very bad tempered children. Will bath them and put them to bed, hopefully resisting the urge to throttle the pair of them. I continue to ignore the ironing pile and ironing board I set up in the living room yesterday.

I just woke up from a snooze in the treehouse where I was supposed to be reading a book.
Came in to find DH cooking a curry for tea and the DCs playing team minecraft on their kindles. Later on I have a zoom village meeting and then a long hot bath on the schedule.

I'm feeling awful from my second jab yesterday. Toddler and I are eating leftovers and salad watching Hi de Hi, it's getting very dark and I think it's going to thunder.

Kids gone to stayvwith gp for the night, dh still at work and im going to sort the dogs and then get myself ready for work. fun filled friday night here!

We have bathed the fosterlings, no.1 aged 1 is in bed, no.2 6 weeks is having a bottle, the dog is snoozing on the floor and DH is collecting the takeaway. Tomorrow we are off to see another fosterling in their new adoptive home and I am very excited!

It's been a big week - DS14 recovering from surgery after breaking his arm this time last week (open fracture, both bones), DD18 aced her IB exam results on Tuesday and has had her first choice Uni place confirmed and her preferred accommodation choice ha scone through today.

Now at home recovering from the financial shock of signing them both up for Invisalign braces this afternoon.

Planning a quiet family evening watching Black Widow on Disney+ with a Chinese takeaway to celebrate.

Husband making dinner and chatting to his sister on the phone, I'm watching the tennis and drinking bubbly, kids are in their rooms playing. Nice Friday so far.

I'm watching the news with a glass of wine. DS2 is constipated and in and out of the bathroom. DS1 is on the computer. DH's day off he has been in the garden all day building a fish pond...he is extremely determined to finish it..his idea

Kids are showering after one was at gymnastics and the other had me running around the park with a football. Waiting on the shopping being delivered so I can decide what to eat for tea. DH isn't home yet. V jealous of a pp who has a chippy tea on the way. Got friends coming over tomorrow so should probably sort the house out but thinking I'll do a quick tidy round/shove stuff out the way and have a glass of wine....

Currently eating strawberries. Dishwasher on. DH working. Just had a coffee with mate recently back from UK and our neighbour, very nice to see her.

It's quiet here, I need to cook tea shortly. Just thinking about things. I have to go home soon, I've been away since Wednesday

Made a veg soup for my kids tea. They have no idea how many vegetables they've just eaten that they otherwise say they hate so I'm feeling rather smug 😌
They're having a game of Minecraft before bed then I'm getting in my PJs and gonna try and find a film to watch.

Have had a very good day, hairdresser this morning then went to buy a new cooker, our current one has given us over 17 years good service but is on its way out, anticipated some supply issues & delays but found a local-ish recommended retailer who had stock & were able to get the model we wanted at a reasonable price (Rangemaster, very excited ). DS finished his mock GCSEs yesterday so has gone out after school with a few mates, it's lovely & warm here. DH is working, Legopup has been at daycare & was groomed while there & has been comatose on the kitchen floor for a couple of hours. No doubt he'll wake up when I start to make a chicken curry (a la Pataks) shortly. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend now the exams are done & with the footy on Sunday. There will be wine this evening. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

DH and DS are out at DS’s cricket training, the cat is snoozing in an Amazon box, I’m drinking tea and eating biscuits, half watching Wimbledon. About to research storage solutions for my kitchen cupboards. Not an exciting Friday night, but a contented one, especially if I can find what I need for the cupboards!

Dd1's just been in the shower. She's probably still sat on her bed, watching Twitch streamers stream shite Minecraft.

Dd2's in the shower atm - I'm going to shout up to her to get out in a mo.

I'm in the kitchen with a large cup of tea.

Their dad's on the way here after going to A&E with chest pains. There's nothing wrong; it appears to be muscular so he's been advised to see his GP for pain killers.

Dd 1 having a shower, me and dd 2 are watching Aquaman. Both labs are watching dd 2 eating a packet of crisps, neither are taking their eyes off the bag.

I'm sat in garden, DH is pouring a pink cava for me having just got home from work and kids are fed and in pjs playing(fighting) on the Xbox 😊

DH is reading bedtime stories to DS. I'm feeding DD and hoping she'll ready to sleep soon.
