Over 48 hours and counting, and it’s my little one’s bday tomorrow so hoping we can go ahead with a little party!

I had one on Sunday morning and got the results Monday lunchtime. They do say it can take longer though.

In my recent experience, those done at a test site seem to come within 24 hours. If you have the "receipt" with the barcode on I believe you can chase it up.

I'm currently awaiting the results of my weekly (for work) one that I did on weds morning though...

AnotherDayAnotherCake · 09/07/2021 15:03

29 hours in a London borough.
Took yesterday 8am results today at 1pm.

AnotherDayAnotherCake · 09/07/2021 15:04

Yes that’s for a test centre. Postal will take longer.

I've just posted mine, was hoping to get it back by tomorrow, as widowed mil really needs support from dh atm, but of course he's been with me. He's got a lateral flow test as no symptoms himself, but these can be a false negative.
It's hard to know what to do, we can't leave mil on her own atm, just the next few days.

Did one at 15:30 yesterday (walk through test centre). Got the result at 14:21 today, so just less than 24 hours. I was told it would take 24 - 72 hours.

I imagine it varies depending what area you are in and how busy they are? I'm in Lancashire.

Then again, a friend did a PCR on Monday morning at the same place, after getting a positive LFT. Result didn't come back until last night (positive)!

Just texted my ex as he, his wife and daughter posted their home tests on Tuesday afternoon. Nothing back yet.

Magicmonster · 09/07/2021 15:55

Thanks all. Ours was a walk in 1pm Wednesday. Sounds like we have just been unlucky!
