We've recently moved and now have a garden! Can I have your best suggestions for garden toys, which will keep them occupied for hours and hours with next to no supervision Grinchildren DD is 6 and DS 3...

Same age kids. We have:

Bubble machine.
Slide
Trampoline
Swings/trapeze (not great for independent)
Sand table.
Water tray
Kiddie low basketball hoop.
Pavement chalk for patio
Most were presents but all are used.

My 5 year old loves swingball, water table, skipping ropes, in her ideal world she would have a trampoline but we haven’t got space. I really need to get her some more things as a lot she has is from when she was a toddler.

Excellent thank you for these, really helpful - does anyone have that ubiquitous red and yellow car I desperately wanted as a child but was never allowed? DH thinks they are too old for it!

You could probably buy secondhand. Youngest would get a year or so.

Great fun chasing each other on space hoppers round the garden and on the trampoline

Watering cans and water pistols. Mine will spend hours just looking for insects, picking all the flowers 🙄. Finding sticks and stones and arranging them. They water the plants with their watering cans and make puddles to splash in on the patio. They like writing with the water pistols and making patterns on the wall / patio.
When it's hot we have a paddling pool or the sprinkler on. They love kicking a ball around.
We have a fairy garden that DD loves arranging.
