Amazing. Book shop, coffee and cake. Something good for the soul like a museum or cinema?

5hyl33n · 08/07/2021 21:31

Sleep in, eat all day and binge-watch movies. :D

Livingintheclouds · 08/07/2021 21:32

I'd do a bit of pottering around the shops, stop in for coffee amd cake somewhere and maybe a beauty treatment. Meet a friend for lunch?

DinosaurDiana · 08/07/2021 21:33

Put your feet up, watch what you want and pig out.

When? Virgin River’s new season is coming to Netflix tomorrow morning and that show is my number 1 guilty pleasure. So easy and relaxing to watch! If you start at 9am you’ll be done by 5pm, lunch and coffee break included - yes I’ve done the maths because that’s all I’m doing tomorrow Grin

One of my best ever days, I went to a nice beach, Westward Ho, read my book in the sun, swam in a saltwater pool, had a nice lunch and a walk along the coast. It was so lovely. It was worth the drive and I went early so I could park easily and avoid crowds.

Ah exactly what I needed- inspiration!

Ok I sound anti social but I've decided not to meet any friends- I can do that another say. This is my day. So shops, haircut, coffee/lunch then cinema or home for a film I think 😊 unfortunately got to take the kids to school so no sleep ins.

Sounds fab!

I’ve got 3 days annual leave next week with DD or DH and I’m trying to figure out how to make best use of it & I love all these ideas!

I am suffering from general exhaustion so just trying to figure out what will reinvigorate me the most whilst letting me have a break.

It’s hard when you aren’t used to it!

SilenceOfThePrams · 08/07/2021 22:09

Just had one.

Dropped children at school. Drove somewhere beautiful. Went for a walk. Bought myself lunch and a nice coffee, ate it outside. Wandered around a couple of shops.

Debated going into town but didn’t feel peoply so came home, spent 13 minutes blitzing the housev(times it so it didn’t eat into my me day). Made a fresh pot of coffee. Sat in the garden and drank it and read.

Picked children up from school.

I’ve got a day like that coming up and I plan to read, watch the, eat cake and maybe have a bath.
