UC claim help

I am making a new joint claim for UC as DP is on SSP. I am both employed and self employed. The only form has only asked for details of his wages and hours; I answered that I was both employed and self employed and then it asked if I was in the army and the section closed! It seems happy for me to submit the claim, but I am worried as how will it know what I earn?!

I will call the helpline tomorrow but thought I'd ask in the meantime.

I think you usually have to attend an interview where DWP considers all the documentation for your self-employment and reach a decision on it before they start calculating your claim.

Thanks - oh and at the end it wanted me to 'agree to apply for work'. I already work....

If your claim is accepted and you can show that you're working a reasonable number of hours they won't require you to look for work or have regular meetings.
