Name labels

Would anyone like to recommend a company/type of label to do school uniform with? Plus where do people place the label, neck/waistband or on the care label?

With nursery I did sharpie on the care label but it seemed to fade. Wasn't really a problem because it's a small nursery and he/staff could generally recognise his clothes as his.

Yes I know I'm over thinking this and yes he is my oldest and I've never done the whole school stuff before. And with social distancing/masks it's hard to ask other parents.

Try Stikins - I was part of the mumsnet panel that reviewed them recently and found them to be very good

I agree with @BridgetJonesDaiquiri. I was on the Stickins trial too. They were really easy to use.

My name tag. Brilliant. Don’t wash off. Waterproof for bottles and stuff too survives the washing machine too

I use Stamptastic - they are fantastic. YOu get a stamp with your child's name on, and an ink pad and can just stamp everything - clothes, wellies, shoes... the only problem is black shoes can make it hard to ee, but in 6 years I have only needed to replace the inkpad once.

I've always used sew in labels. People seem to think they are hard to do but they really aren't.

I'm a teacher and you are making your child's like much easier by not using sharpie. With a label the child can recognise their jumper from three metres away without reading it.

Stickins or snappy tags

I have used My Name Tags iron-in labels and they're really good, hardly ever come off if you follow the ironing instructions
