Argos return

I bought a small cabinet from Argos (£55). Assembled but don't like it - am I allowed to return it?

It has this mark on the front. Do you reckon that would deem it faulty? If I liked it, I'd probably be able to ignore it, but technically it is a flaw.

Is that shelf in upside down?

The mark isn't clear in that photo, unless it's actually within the panel they could claim it's damage not defect and since it's been assembled the origins of the damage cannot be determined. It's 50:50, why don't you just ask them?

We had an issue with an Argos desk
We kept it and just accepted the drawers don’t open properly as I wasn’t going to take it all apart so they could deem it broken enough to then issue a refund
Pictures not acceptable to them
They were not helpful to deal with

You can get a discount to keep the item based on the mark alone if its still within 30 days, but if you want to return it due to a change of mind about the item overall, it would be a no because it's already been assembled. Although it does depend on whether you purchased it in store or if it was delivered, some store managers accept change of mind returns but it is a case by case basis.

I have assembled an Argos item and then had it collected for return. There was no fault we just didn't like it. It was also still half assembled when they collected as the screws were very tight and we couldn't get them undone and they didn't object.
