Girls' hair clips for very fine hair

DD (4) has messy bed hair, regardless of any brushing efforts I make.

It's wavy and very fine/fly away.

I've been trying to find some little hair clips to keep it out of her face but nothing I found in the shops the other day seemed suitable for young kids.

Any recommendations gratefully received!

The snap ones generally work best I find. And they usually come in colours and designs that appeal to little girls. A search on ebay will bring up bajillions.

Hairspray them before putting them in and the again once in. Should help then stay in for longer.

Sorry that wasn’t your question. Claire’s accessories is your friend.

I always liked this type of clip when DD was little (she had really fine hair): www.etsy.com/uk/listing/647074906/polly-set-of-eight-mini-alligator-clips

I got these from eBay for my 2 year old - the clip bit is covered with fabric so they don't pull her hair and they're really light. She still pulls them off though Hmm but otherwise they stay put!

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I like the idea of a fabric-covered hair clip as the metal ones don't seem very gentle. I'm sure the metal ones of my youth were thicker and had rounded edges whereas the ones I found the other day seemed thin and like they would snag.
