How much are driving lessons near you?

I asked a couple of instructors and they charge £29 and £30 an hour. The £29 one offers block booking of 5 lessons for £140 which I thought was a bit of a weird deal, just a fiver off per 5 lessons. This is a town in the Midlands.

I'm wishing I was able to start learning to drive earlier in life, I'm nearly 30 and I remember when I was 18 and lessons were about £18 / £20 an hour! But I never had the money to learn.

Is £30 per hour the new normal?!

I pay £55 per 2 hour lesson.

I can remember my mother learning to drive back in 1998 and my dad was shocked it cost £10 per hour Grin

Sounds about right. Lessons are sooo expensive.

Well done on deciding to learn to drive now.

In the current situation, theory tests and actual tests are booking up quickly, so I would recommend to look now and book your theory test. There has been long delays locally due to a backlog.

We're paying £30 an hour. Going rate around here.
