Nice restaurant in Christchurch

For a family birthday so special occasiony. Any recommendations please?

I've been googling but would prefer some thoughts from people with first hand experience - there will be 9 of us and ideally by the water but not too expensive!! Also, don't really want to drive/taxi so within walking distance please.

There’s quite a few near water… Upper Deck or The Jetty both at the Harbour Hotel, Kings Hotel, Captains Club, The Boathouse

Not in Christchurch but not far from it is Pebble Beach restaurant in Barton on Sea

Loch and quay in the town centre too

Urban Reef at Boscombe is lovely. Have been many times and have never been disappointed. It's not high end but really nice food and a cracking view!

Funnily enough, I booked our hotel on booking.com and it was only at the very last minute that I realised the super-cheap hotel I found was approx 12,400 miles away from our home address
