What do you call earwigs?

Just curious, after seeing the woodlouse thread.

Me: forkietails. I'm from Shetland. I read about earwigs in books, but it took me longer than I care to disclose to realise they were the same thing...

Eariewigs here, west coast scotland, but learned from my mum who was from the central belt. All my pals call them forkytails too!
