Face masks

AIBU to think that not wearing a face mask in a crowded indoor area in anti social. I am reflecting on the time when restaurants, airplanes, cinemas all had smoking or non smoking areas. This still did not prevent the smoke wafting over to people in the non smoking areas,so, similarly with viral aerosols, what is the point if some don’t wear masks, it’s either all or nothing isn’t it? I feel more comfortable when I see everyone else wearing a mask when shopping and I will continue to wear mine to protect other people. With 100,000 new infections a day predicted in two weeks time I will probably double up on masks too! How does any one else feel?

Once they're no longer mandatory all you can do is wear one yourself and try to keep your distance.

I think it's worrying how much the scaremongering has worked that people actually believe that they're in danger of something that, turns out, wasn't nearly as bad as thought.

10,000 deaths a year are caused by flu. Where was the worry before now about mask wearing then?

I couldn't care less if people wear masks. I can't wait for the ridiculousness to end on 19th July.
