Anyone drive a Toyota Corolla estate? Should we buy?

We need to upgrade from our Skoda Fabia diesel and thinking of a hybrid estate (dogs, tall teenager...) but don't know anyone who drives one. Do you? Would you recommend?

Yes, we got one last year - we find it very good. Ours is a replacement for a diesel VW Golf estate, it has similar load capacity.

I don't know about the 'tall teenager' as DH is average height and DD and I are petite, but that's easily enough checked if you take your lad with you if you test drive one.

Don't know the answers about that specific car, but we had a Toyota Corolla for years and years and replaced it with a Toyota Verso when it died at about 20 years old. They've both been brilliant, reliable cars.

Thanks Errol, seems to be good leg room in the back. Did you go for a 1.8 or 2.0 litre engine? Our diesel is 1.6 so am assuming the 1.8 should be fine.

Thanks Barnabas. I just can't work out why I don't see many of them near where we live. It's mostly Audis, VW or BMW! (Don't see many skodas other than Octavias/taxis though!)

Corolla Estate/Touring sports is a fairly new model so I wouldn't expect to see many about. It replaced the Auris Touring Sports (mostly taxis round here)
