tw - possible miscarriage?

Sorry - I tried posting this in conception but didn’t get any replies

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.. my minds a little all over the place.

Been ttc with DH, I was 6 days late on my period with no positive test. Had some small spotting on Saturday and thought maybe I had ovulated late and maybe it was implantation spotting. Yesterday I started to bleed heavy and then nothing overnight. I just dropped a friend off home and had the most agonising cramps in the car. When I got home I had a bit of a ‘gush’, followed by passing two pieces of something that wasn’t a clot. Sorry, I know this is majorly tmi! Bleeding has now subsided but my stomach is still a bit sore. Could this have been an early miscarriage? I did take a test to see if it would be positive and though there was a very faint line but DH says I have line eye!

Just to add I definitely felt pregnant. Really tired and just had that ‘feeling’, I know that doesn’t mean much! It’s the bloody not knowing now, I have no idea what that was!?

I realise it’s probably unlikely, but has anyone had an early miscarriage with no positive test? —or a very very faint line that DH says doesn’t exist—

I’m going to call the GP first thing tomorrow but I guess there’s nothing they can do to give me a yes or no answer. God I wish this was easier

I'm very sorry your going through this.
It's a hard one, 6 days late you tend to get a positive test.
GP could do a HCG blood test as HCG can still last in your body after a MC.

I'm sorry you're going through this OP. If you didn't get a positive I would assume it was a late period and maybe clotting due to that. My early losses at 5 weeks were like a heavy period bleeding wise. Have you had your covid vaccine recently? I know lots of women are having later, heavier periods as a result.

That’s what I thought it’s just so confusing! I had my second covid vaccine in March but did notice that my period was a bit weird after that. I wonder if it’s just the after effects of that?!

For reference here’s the test I took after I passed the bits of clots. I see a line but that’s probably me just wanting some kind of answer!
