I'm posting here on behalf of a friend. Her teenage child (under 16) needs a mental health assessment. CAMHs have already been contacted but along with waiting times they aren't always a great service.
The teenager isn't overly interested in speaking to someone but definitely needs help and without going into outing details, the quicker the better! Social services and police have also been involved. Does anyone know of anything else Mum can try? If possible someone who is able to do a home visit to assess as her child won't go to hospital.
In Scotland if that makes any difference. As you can imagine she is heartbroken so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
