Anyone who has seen it - would you take a 6 year old boy to see it?

From what I have seen of it whatever the classification it does not look like a film a 6 year old would be remotely interested in.

SecretRedhead · 06/07/2021 16:32

Ooof! I don't want to waste money taking 6yo to see it if he'll be bored

I really enjoyed it, but I'm not sure there's much in there for a 6 year old boy I'm afraid.

Bythemillpond · 06/07/2021 18:28

Depends on the boy

GetTaeFuck · 06/07/2021 18:31

I took DDs 12/10/5 to see it, youngest one lost interest within an hour but sat nicely enough.

LucysSkyDiamonds · 06/07/2021 18:32

My 8yo ds loved it.

Longdistance · 06/07/2021 18:34

I thought it was a 12A?

GetTaeFuck · 06/07/2021 18:35

@Longdistance

I thought it was a 12A?
It is, the A being “advisory”

My youngest also watches Marvel films, which are a 12A, does that horrify you too? Hmm

HalfTermHalfTerm · 06/07/2021 18:41

I liked it, but I thought it was about 20 minutes too long, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he got a bit bored in the middle. If you have Disney+ could you you rent it on there and watch half, have a break and then watch the other half a bit later?

Whydoiwearsomuchleopardprint · 06/07/2021 18:45

I absolutely loved the film but I think 6 is too young. I took two ten year old girls to see it and I thought they were a bit young for it although they did enjoy it! It is long and they did get a bit bored and wiggly in some parts, I think 11 upwards for most kids.

NautaOcts · 06/07/2021 18:48

I too thought it was a 12 and no I wouldn’t. There’s a sad bit I can think of, and it’s pretty long I think an average 6yo might get bored.

CovoidOfAllHumanity · 06/07/2021 18:54

My 14 and 10 yr olds enjoyed it and so did I (I liked all the 70s Vivienne Westwood references) but it's quite a complicated plot for a 6 yo and not loads of action (not on a Marvel level anyway) so I suspect they might be bored. Not much obvious connection to 101 Dalmatians either.
