Light touch group - Universal Credit.

Hi how does a couple with two young children apply for the light touch group with universal Credit. My youngest is 3. My partner works full time. Dies it go with his salary or hours? Thanks

It’s based on his salary. So long as its over £541/month then you should be placed in the light touch group. You may need to ‘remind’ the work coach of this - I did when speaking to mine recently (my children are currently under 2 so I don’t have any work search commitments) and he agreed that I was correct and anything I did would be voluntary

Thanks for replying. My partner gets £1200 a month so we should be put into the light touch group. As I would like to go back to work next year when my youngest starts school next year September. Thanks.
