Child contact with abusive ex partner

Hi just wondering if anyone can help me, I was in a domestic violent relationship for nearly 3 years and have a child with that person. Our child is one, at the moment social services (CAFCAS) endorse absolutely no contact as my allegations are very serious, he has crown court coming up soon too. He has applied for child contact and wants contact over night, I feel that eventually he will get supervised contact in a contact centre. My question is if he gets supervised contact how long will this last for? As I know it will not last forever and over time he will get full contact. I am petrified of leaving my child with him the thought of it makes me sick and I dread the day he can have her over night :(

It all depends on the exact circumstances. Often contact is supervised for a limited period to assess them then they are no longer required to use a contact centre but in some cases unsupervised contact is never granted. Keep a record of specific (child related) concerns ready for any hearing

Thank you just to give you an update the supervised contact at a contact centre lasted 6 months and the father now has supervised contact in the community. Going back to court soon to see if they will progress contact or keep it as it is, hoping it will stay supervised for my child’s safety as I still don’t trust the father after what he done to me and our child.
