Sorry if this sounds stupid, but moving into my own place isn’t something I’ve done before.
So me, DH and our LG are finally moving out of my DParents house into rented accommodation on Saturday!
What do I need to before then?
So far I have packed our stuff apart from a few days of essentials, purchased the vital furniture, sorted contents insurance for the day before we move.
I know I need to sort electricity provider and internet- the ones in our budget seem to be like 2 year deals but it’s not guaranteed we will be there that long so don’t want to end up paying for it when we are no longer there or being penalised for ending the contract?
I also need to inform the council we have moved for council tax.
Is there anything glaringly obvious I’ve missed?
