Honest thoughts on pickler triangle sets

Thinking about getting my DS a pickler set for his first birthday. So expensive though so I feel it’s a bit risky. Happy to spend the money if I know he will use it a lot but he’s a bit hit and miss with toys! I don’t want to invest money (or space!) if he isn’t bothered.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on them if you have one

DS doesn't use his, but he has a friend who absolutely loves it and would spend all day on it I'm pretty sure. I wish I'd got a rainbow bug just as they can climb but it can also be used for role play and as a den etc. I think it's hard to tell whether they'll like it until you try, they do usually retain quite a lot of their value.

Thanks @Treehaus
Is this a rainbow bug? www.toysbynature.co.uk/product/rainbow-bug-rocker/

How old is your DS? It’s very hard to know if kids will use a toy isn’t it. Even second hand picklers are so expensive and none for sale in my area

Yes it is that one, our childminder has one and it's fantastic, she does all sorts of set ups- sometimes fairy lights over the top etc for a cosy den, or on its side to be like a shop counter as well as climbing and as a seesaw. I got him the triangle for his first birthday as he has always loved climbing, so thought he would like it.

My Dd2 got one for her first birthday, still used every day and she's 2.5. Her 5yo stepbrother plays on it too. They sometimes make it a den as well but mostly climb all over it, go down the slide or push cars down the slide

We had one at toddler group and the kids were more interested in the Little Tikes activity cube.

We picked one up for DD's 1st birthday for £25 from Facebook and used it for 3 years.
