Hi, six year old woke up with a bite last Thursday, no irritation but it now looks like the last picture.
I've emailed the GP (as they instructed) but haven't heard back yet.

Sorry, the picture of the first day with the white puffy bit.

Get a pen and draw a line around the edge so you can keep track of how quickly it's spreading

Okay, thanks will do so.

Could it be a tick bite? In that first photo it looks like a bullseye rash.

Thanks, yes that's what I was concerned about. No word from the GP yet.

Yes, GP. Tell them you are worried about Lyme Disease. Eminently treatable if dealt with quickly but can lead to terrible, lifelong issues if left untreated

QueenCarrot · 05/07/2021 16:13

Bullseye rash is classic sign of Lymes

I’d probably try a walk in centre OP if the GP doesn’t get back to you this afternoon.

yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear · 05/07/2021 16:31

Thank you, I've phoned them back and said about Lyme Disease and the receptionist put it on the notes.

Thanks everyone, the doctor has prescribed antibiotics as he agrees it could be Lyme Disease.
